Charles J. Lanzalotti is a member of Bennett, Bricklin & Saltzburg LLC and is the firm’s managing attorney. He is also the firm’s Enterprise Risk Manager (ERM) where he oversees the firm’s enterprise risk management program. Charlie is responsible for vendor screening and contract review/negotiation for adherence to firm privacy SOPs as well as external privacy and security regulations. He is responsible for incident response and firm compliance with IS regulations and contracts.
Charlie has been admitted to practice in state and federal courts in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania as well as state courts in New York and federal court of Maryland. He is the chairperson of the firm’s New Jersey division of the ‘Special Investigations and Fraud’ team. Charlie has filed actions on behalf of insurers against medical facilities for violation of insurance fraud statutes. He has also tried to jury verdict numerous matters where clients have been sued in cases where the claim is thought to be suspicious or fraudulent.
Charlie is a frequent lecturer on various insurance topics in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. He has presented seminars on investigating the fraudulent claim both locally in New Jersey and Pennsylvania and nationally, most recently at the annual meetings of the New Jersey Special Investigators Association and the National Society of Professional Insurance Investigators.
In 2010 to 2013, Charlie was named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer® Rising Star as well as a New Jersey Super Lawyer® Rising Star for 2013[i]
During his free time, Charlie enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters. His hobbies include deep-sea fishing, golfing, reading and traveling.
