Lou has over 20 years of litigation experience and is a member of the firm’s Bad Faith and Insurance Coverage group.  Lou is licensed in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and is admitted to practice in the Eastern and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania, United States District Court, as well as the District Court for the District of New Jersey.  Lou has tried cases to verdict in Pennsylvania and New Jersey state courts, and has argued appeals in the Pennsylvania Superior Court and the Appellate Division of the New Jersey Superior Court.

Lou is a graduate of Bard College, Annandale-on-Hudson, New York, where he majored in Philosophy.  He went on to earn his Juris Doctor from the Temple University School of Law, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he was elected by his fellow law students as the school’s American Bar Association Student Representative and President, an office he held during his third year of law school.

After law school, Lou worked for one of the largest consumer protection law firms in Pennsylvania, where he represented consumers against some of the biggest corporations in the U.S.  He went on to work at the oldest law firm in the U.S., where he represented trucking companies as defendants in personal injury matters.  Lou also worked as a plaintiff’s attorney, representing individuals injured in automobile accidents and premises liability matters, which gives him added insight in defending civil matters.

Lou serves as a court appointed arbitrator in Philadelphia and Bucks Counties, and has handled pro bono criminal matters in Burlington County, New Jersey.

In his spare time, Lou is an avid bassist, playing with area musicians at various fundraising concerts benefitting causes such as Autism Awareness and local food banks and libraries.
