Brian T. Stapleton is a member in the firm’s New York office. Brian is a highly skilled and extremely experienced trial attorney with a focus on trial defense. He has nearly thirty (30) years’ trial experience defending civil and criminal matters and has taken over one hundred (100) jury verdicts in his career. Brian has defended major exposure cases, including claims for catastrophic injury or death involving damages exposure in excess of several million dollars. He has also defended numerous Products Liability claims across the United States. His New York trial practice has involved major exposure claims of N.Y.S. Labor Law Violations, Construction Site Injury, and Wrongful Death. Brian also has extensive trial experience defending criminal cases, including Murder, Attempted Murder, Kidnapping and Robbery. He also has significant appellate experience, having briefed and argued cases in both state and federal appellate courts across the country. Brian was selected as a New York Metro SuperLawyer® for the years 2006 and 2013-2023 [i] .
Outside of the office, Brian is an accomplished musician and plays many different fretted instruments. An aspiring luthier, he likes to build guitars in his spare time.
