Katie Frechette is a member at Bennett, Bricklin & Saltzburg LLC and she manages the Blue Bell Automobile Liability Team. She also handles 3rd party and UM/UIM auto matters, fire matters and bad faith litigation. Katie is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.

Katie was born and raised in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania and subsequently attended Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. She graduated magna cum laude in 2000, with a double major in Economics and Political Science. She received her Juris Doctor from Boston College Law School in 2003, where she was an editor for the Uniform Commercial Code Digest and worked at a local Boston litigation firm throughout her schooling. 

Katie returned to Philadelphia following law school where she went on to clerk for the Honorable Linda K. Caracappa in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Prior to joining Bennett, Bricklin & Saltzburg LLC, she worked as a litigator for a local insurance defense firm where she tried multiple cases to verdict in Philadelphia County, wrote several appellate briefs, and argued two cases before the Superior Court.

Katie has experience handling both plaintiff and defense cases. Since joining Bennett, Bricklin & Saltzburg LLC, she has tried cases to verdict in Philadelphia’s five county area. She has sat as an arbitrator and judge pro tempore in Philadelphia County. Katie has also developed a private mediation and arbitration practice, and was officially trained and certified as a mediator in February, 2023. She has been selected as a solo mediator and arbitrator in a number of personal injury cases, appointed by both plaintiff and defense attorneys in Philadelphia, Montgomery, Delaware, Bucks and Chester counties. She spearheaded the development of a mediation program for the Montgomery Bar Association, and currently serves as Chair of the ADR Committee. She has also been asked to mediate seven figure cases through the Montgomery Bar Association, and has done so with success. She has spoken at DRI and PADC CLEs on many occasions, was named as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer Rising Star from 2014-2018, and recently named a Super Lawyer in 2023, 2024, and 2025.
 
Katie has sons at Bucknell and Northeastern Universities, and her youngest attends Harriton High School. She enjoys traveling the east coast to watch all three boys compete in squash, and see her oldest and youngest compete in their jazz band endeavors. Prior to the pandemic, she was certified in Balanced Athlete Parts I and II, which involves a detailed study of the body and its muscles, and the maintenance of a high level of physical fitness through low impact stretching and strengthening. She currently exercises regularly and plays tennis locally through Philadelphia Country Club and other organizations.
