Beth A. Carter joined Bennett, Bricklin & Saltzburg LLC in May 1999 as a law clerk. She became an associate in August 2000 and was elected a member in 2008. In 2018 Beth became a member of the firm’s Executive Committee.

Born and raised in Pennsylvania, she graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 1997 where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Speech Communications. Beth obtained her J.D. from Temple University’s Beasley School of Law in 2000, where she was a staff member of the Temple Law Review as well as a recipient of the Temple Law Foundation Scholarship.

In addition to working for Bennett, Bricklin & Saltzburg LLC during her third year of law school, Beth also worked for the City of Philadelphia claims department as a certified law clerk and assisted in defending the City in cases involving slip and falls, construction accidents, and motor vehicle accidents. From 2010 to 2015 Beth was named Pennsylvania SuperLawyer® Rising Star.[i]

Beth is admitted to practice in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and has been admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the District of New Jersey, Eastern District of Pennsylvania and Middle District of Pennsylvania. At Bennett, Bricklin & Saltzburg LLC, Beth works in the Philadelphia office where she is a member of the product liability and auto teams. She has tried many cases to verdict in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey state and federal courts and arbitrated hundreds of cases involving product liability, premises liability and product liability. Beth has taken a keen interest in food liability and has defended and represented many food manufacturers in potentially high exposure, media centered matters.

Beth is OSHA 10 certified and has authored articles on punitive damages, Medicare liens and Federal Rules of Evidence, and is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Associates, Pennsylvania Defense Institute and Defense Research Institute. In 2010, she was elected to the Board of Governors for the Philadelphia Association of Defense Counsel. Beth was also appointed to a co-chair position on the amicus committee for the Pennsylvania Defense Institute in 2010 to work with the committee in making amicus brief recommendations with regard to appellate issues pending in Superior and Supreme court.

Beth is married with two sons, Tyler and Zachary. In her free time, Beth enjoys playing volleyball and softball, working on her house and spending time with her family, dog and two cats.
