Job Summary Full-Time Legal Assistant/Receptionist - New York, NY
Bennett, Bricklin & Saltzburg LLC is a regional insurance defense law firm seeking an experienced litigation legal assistant/receptionist for its Manhattan office. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience within a litigation defense practice. Specific experience with personal injury, insurance defense, commercial liability, professional liability, NY labor law and/or reinsurance law from a defense aspect is preferred.
The firm currently works under a hybrid schedule. This means you will be able to work from home for a portion of your workweek. The details of this schedule will be discussed during the interview process.
Qualified candidates should possess the following:
• Three to five years of experience within a litigation defense firm
• Proficient in preparing and filing legal documents in both the state and federal courts of New York
• Experience with preparation and filing of legal documents in the state and federal courts of New Jersey is a plus
• Excellent organizational, communication and computer skills
• Ability to work independently and be proactive
• Experience with case management software is a plus
We offer a generous compensation package including health insurance, paid time off and retirement savings plan. The salary range for this position is from $24 - $27 an hour and will be commensurate with experience.
