David A. Porter chairs the Workers’ Compensation Department at Bennett, Bricklin & Saltzburg LLC. Previously, he was a partner at a boutique law firm in Philadelphia where, since 2007, he concentrated his practice in the area of Workers’ Compensation litigation in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania. He has devoted his practice to primarily defending employers, businesses, insurance companies, self-insureds and third-party administrators in workers’ compensation matters. Dave is dedicated to analyzing every claim individually and preparing aggressive defense plans that consider the facts of every case. Recognizing the growing trend that cases settle before decision, David's philosophy is to attempt to resolve cases that should be settled as early as possible in the litigation process.

David earned his undergraduate degree in Communications from Ursinus College. He graduated from Widener University School of Law in 2005 and passed the Bar in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania later that year. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, Philadelphia Bar Association, as well as the New Jersey Bar Association, Camden County Bar Association and Burlington County Bar Association. In 2014 he served as a member of the Executive Committee of the Philadelphia Bar Association Workers’ Compensation Section.

Following admission to the Bar in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, he clerked with Judge Charles Little in the Superior Court Trial Division in Camden, NJ. Following the clerkship, he worked with a New Jersey based firm defending various insurance carriers and employers in medical malpractice, auto accidents, premises liability and workers’ compensation matters.
