Christopher J. Rubinate is a member at the firm’s Philadelphia office who focuses his practice on construction litigation and premises, product and automobile liability. In 2015 and 2019, Christopher was named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyers® Rising Star in Civil Litigation Defense [i]. Prior to joining the firm, Christopher worked in the Philadelphia offices of two different regional insurance defense firms handling premises, products and professional liability and general civil litigation matters across Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Christopher earned his Juris Doctor from Villanova University’s Charles Widger School of Law where he worked as a student-attorney representing an asylum seeker with Villanova’s Clinic for Asylum, Refugee and Emigrant Services and served as President of the Villanova Chapter of the Federalist Society. During law school, Christopher was a summer law clerk to the Honorable R. Barclay Surrick of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and an intern with the American Bar Association Rule of Law Initiative in Kyiv, Ukraine.

Prior to law school, Christopher served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Ukraine where he was an English teacher in the small town of Dunayivtsi, learned fluent Ukrainian (and basic Russian) and traveled throughout Ukraine and Eastern Europe.

Originally from the Philadelphia suburbs, Christopher earned his Bachelor of Arts in Government with an International Relations focus from Dartmouth College. When he is not practicing law, Christopher referees rugby matches throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware and has been an officer in the Eastern Penn Rugby Referee Society. He resides in Old City, Philadelphia with his wife and son.
