Robert W. Dougherty is an associate at the firm’s Philadelphia office who focuses his practice on automobile liability.
Robert earned his Juris Doctor from the Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law in 2015. During law school, he served as a member of the Student Bar Association for all 3 years, worked in the Civil Justice Clinic at Villanova, and was a judicial extern for the Honorable Arnold New in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas.
Robert is from Allentown, Pennsylvania and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Penn State University. During his time at Penn State, he served as a lion ambassador for two years and participated in Penn State’s Dance Marathon to help raise money for pediatric cancer. In 2010, Robert was selected as a dancer in the 46 hour non-stop Dance Marathon recognizing his work in raising money for THON on behalf of the Penn State Marketing Association.
Outside of the office, Robert has a passion for basketball, mixed martial arts and running. While in law school, Robert organized the Villanova Law School basketball league. In July 2014, Robert began practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and in 2015, he took fourth place in a tournament in no gi competition. In 2013, Robert completed the Philadelphia Marathon in 3:31 in his first marathon. He also enjoys biking, reading and golfing.
