Katie O’Connor joined Bennett, Bricklin & Saltzburg LLC as of counsel in the Marlton office. Her practice focuses predominately on construction litigation and premises liability. She has substantial litigation experience in the New York state and federal courts, primarily in New York City. Katie received her B.A. at Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, PA and her J.D. from Roger Williams University School of Law in Bristol, Rhode Island. Before attending law school, Katie worked as a researcher for the New York State Assembly in the Communications and Information Services division.
Katie began her legal career in the Manhattan office of a large insurance defense firm where she handled construction litigation and insurance coverage cases. Katie has handled various civil rights, wrongful termination, products liability and securities and construction cases. She also has worked as a Special Assistant Corporation Counsel where she defended the City of New York and city officials against allegations of section 1983 civil rights violations and as an in-house attorney for the New York Police Department where she worked with the Internal Affairs Bureau and prosecuted uniformed members of the service for employee misconduct.
Away from the practice of law, Katie enjoys spending time with her family, especially her husband and two daughters.
