Geoff Peterson is an associate at Bennett, Bricklin & Saltzburg LLC. He works in the firm’s Blue Bell office on the Special Investigation and Fraud team where he defends clients who are being sued under suspicious, or even fraudulent, circumstances. Most of his cases involve personal injury claims stemming from automobile accidents. Practically all of them end up being tried before juries.
Originally from New York State, Geoff attended college at the University of Rochester, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Political Science. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Pittsburgh in 1997.
After graduation, Geoff joined the Office of the District Attorney in Chemung County, New York, where he worked for five years as an assistant district attorney. He was responsible for prosecuting cases from arrest through sentencing including case assessments, charging decisions, grand jury presentation, plea negotiation, pre-trial hearings, trial and sentencing. During this time, Geoff tried 50 to 60 cases before juries and tried hundreds of cases before a single judge.
In 2003, Geoff joined the offices of Willman & Arnold in Pittsburgh, PA. While there, he focused his practice on complex civil litigation involving toxic torts. He defended multiple corporate clients throughout the courts of Western Pennsylvania and Northeastern Ohio.
Moving to Southeastern Pennsylvania in 2008, Geoff returned to practicing criminal law at the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office. While there, he prosecuted all types of misdemeanor and felony cases.
Geoff is currently licensed in New York and Pennsylvania. He and his wife, Maureen, are the proud parents of one son and one daughter.
