Lily Koohdary Huffman joined Bennett, Bricklin & Saltzburg LLC as an
associate in August 2005. She is a part of the Bad Faith
and Insurance Coverage team in the Philadelphia office.
Born and raised in Pennsylvania, Lily obtained her undergraduate degree in
Economics from Haverford College in 2001. While at Haverford, Lily was a member
of the women's varsity lacrosse team and is currently the fourth all time assist
leader in the history of Haverford women's lacrosse.
Lily obtained her Juris Doctor degree from James E. Beasley School of Law,
Temple University in May 2005 graduating cum laude. At graduation,
Lily was the recipient of the Harry R. Kozart Memorial Prize Fund Award, which
is awarded to the graduate who has attained the highest grade in a Products
Liability course. During law school, Lily was a member of the Temple Political & Civil
Rights Law Review as a staff member and later as an editor. In her second year
at Temple, Lily served as a teaching assistant to first year law students in
a research and writing course.
After her first year of law school, Lily served as a summer clerk for the
Honorable John T.J. Kelly, Jr. of the Superior Court of Pennsylvania. During
her second year at Temple, Lily worked as a law clerk for the City of Philadelphia
Law Department and was a law clerk for Bennett, Bricklin and Saltzburg LLC
from May 2004 to May 2005.
Lily is admitted to practice in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey as well as
the United States District Courts for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania,
the Middle District of Pennsylvania and the District of New Jersey.
In November of 2010,
Lily's article on the Pennsylvania Supreme
Court's decision in Jerry's Sport's
Center and the right (or lack thereof)
of an insurer to recoup payments made for
defense of uncovered claims appeared in
Counterpoint, a publication of the
Pennsylvania Defense Institute. The article
discussed not just the recent Pennsylvania
Supreme Court decision but also trends in
Courts throughout the nation.
In her spare time, Lily
enjoys spending every second with her
husband, their two precious sons, and the
family's golden retriever. Lily also enjoys
cooking, running and reading all types of
books, especially to her two adorable boys.
