Elizabeth V. Gavin is an associate in the Blue Bell, Pennsylvania office of Bennett, Bricklin & Saltzburg, LLC. She defends the firm’s clients in automobile and premises liability cases, as well as representing clients’ subrogation interests.
Born and raised in West Chester, Elizabeth received a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education and English from Boston College, where she was on the National Dean’s List, received a USAA National Collegiate Education Award and was listed in Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges. After college, Elizabeth taught Kindergarten, Third grade and Fourth grade. She earned her Master of Science in Education from the University of Pennsylvania in 2003, and, in 2005, was listed in Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers.
Despite her love of children and teaching, Elizabeth chose to return to school, receiving her J.D. from Villanova University School of Law in 2009, where she was a Lord’s Scholar, a Dean’s Merit Scholar and graduated cum laude. She was a member of Villanova’s Moot Court Board, advancing to the Octofinals of Fordham’s Kaufman Securities Law Competition, the Sweet Sixteen of Villanova’s Theodore L. Reimel Moot Court Competition and the semi-finals of the Phillip C. Jessup International Moot Court Competition, where she won an award for her brief.
Elizabeth clerked for The Honorable Kathrynann W. Durham of the Delaware County Court of Common Pleas during the Spring of 2008, and began working at Bennett, Bricklin & Saltzburg, LLC as a summer clerk that same year, becoming an associate upon graduation. In addition to working for Bennett, Bricklin & Saltzburg, LLC during her third year of law school, Elizabeth worked for Robert J. Casey & Associates, Employees of the Corporate Law Department of State Farm, where she had been a Claims Representative prior to attending law school.
Elizabeth speaks basic Spanish and Sign Language, and enjoys visiting friends in Peru, world travel, theatre and playing with her nieces and nephews.
