Curt Johnston works from the firm's Central Pennsylvania office. Curt has over fifteen years experience in all aspects of insurance defense civil litigation, engaging in property insurance coverage litigation, bad faith litigation, preparation of insurance coverage opinions, and automobile accident, premises liability, and products liability litigation. He is admitted to practice in both Pennsylvania and Delaware state and federal courts, and performs all phases of trial and appellate litigation.
Curt grew up in a small town in the snow belt region of upstate New York. In 1983
he graduated from Gettysburg College, following which he worked for Motorists Mutual Insurance Company as a multi-line
claims adjuster and then as a claims supervisor until 1988. He attended the Widener University School of Law graduating cum laude in 1991. While in
law school, Curt was a member of the Law Review and served as internal managing editor of the Delaware Journal of Corporate Law. Following
law school, he served as a judicial law clerk for the Delaware Supreme Court from 1991-1992.
Outside of the office, Curt was appointed in 2001 to serve on the South Heidelberg Township Zoning Hearing Board, where he continues to serve as Chairman. In his spare time, Curt enjoys landscaping and vegetable gardening at his home in Wernersville, cooking, and keeping to a regular exercise routine. Curt and his wife Danielle also enjoy bicycling, cross-country skiing, canoeing, and golf. And, most of all, when time allows, they enjoy planning for and touring different parts of the country and world - most recently Denmark and Norway.
