Charity Hyde is a member in the firm. She focuses her practice on toxic torts, product liability, general liability and insurance fraud investigation.
Charity gained extensive insurance defense experience as a partner with another Philadelphia firm where she tried many liability actions before Philadelphia County juries with favorable results. Previously, Charity was a partner at the law offices of Wagenfeld Levine where she was named Environmental and Civil Group Practice Leader for the firm’s nationwide clientele.
Charity has experience leading multi-attorney teams in representing large manufacturing clients, retailers and their insurers in toxic tort litigation in several states. She has participated in the investigation and civil prosecution of individuals who submit fraudulent insurance claims including several medical providers. She is licensed to practice in the state and federal courts of Pennsylvania and New Jersey. She is also licensed to practice in the District of Columbia.
Charity received her J.D. from the Widener University School of Law, where she was on the Dean’s Honor List, Law Review, and the Delaware Journal of Corporate Law. She was a member of Phi Delta Phi, the international legal fraternity. Charity clerked for the Honorable Arnold L. New of the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas. She was also a legal intern in the Civil Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. After law school, Charity joined Bennett, Bricklin & Saltzburg, LLC as an associate, before becoming a partner with Wagenfeld Levine. She also holds a B.S. in Communications from Drexel University.
In her spare time, Charity enjoys traveling and sailing.
