Asher Brooks
Chancey is an associate in the
firm's Philadelphia office. He
focuses his practice on civil
and commercial litigation, and
has experience handling toxic
and mass torts, commercial
transportation and motor vehicle
liability, insurance coverage
disputes and admiralty and
maritime law.
Asher is a
2006 graduate of the Tulane
University of School of Law,
cum laude, where he received
the Harry F. Stiles scholarship
for maritime law. While at
Tulane, he served as the Editor
in Chief of the Tulane Maritime
Law Journal, a guest editor of
the Tulane Law Review and a
Senior Fellow for the first year
Legal Research and Writing
seminar. Asher spent his third
year at the University of
Maryland School of Law, during
which time he interned on the
United States Senate Judiciary
Committee for U.S. Senator
Dianne Feinstein and on the
staff of the Speaker of the
Maryland House of Delegates. He
received a bachelor of arts
degree in History from
University of New Orleans in
2003.
Asher is
admitted to practice in
Pennsylvania and New Jersey, as
well as the United States
District Courts for the Eastern
District of Pennsylvania and the
District of New Jersey. He is a
member of the American Bar
Association and the Maritime Law
Association of the United
States.
In addition
to his legal career, Asher has
worked as a freelance baseball
writer and blogger, and has been
featured on several on-line
publications, including
CBSSports.com, Philly.com and
BaseballEvolution.com.
