David Wahab is an experienced insurance defense attorney with the special investigations and fraud team. He graduated from the University of Southern California with a B.A. in Biological Sciences. At USC, David was heralded as a Trustee Scholar for his multiple appearances on the School of Biological Sciences Dean’s List. David was also an active member of the Biological Sciences Honor Society with an emphasis in achievement in the area of molecular biology.
David earned his law degree from the Hofstra University School of Law where he was a recipient of the School of Law Merit Scholarship for his outstanding academic achievements at Hofstra and later became editor of the prestigious Advancing the Consumer Interest Law Journal. While in law school, he clerked for a distinguished New York City private patent firm where he was instrumental in obtaining patents for leading researching entities in the field of genomic marking.
Prior to joining Bennett, Bricklin and Saltzburg LLC, David was an associate and litigation team supervisor at a New York staff counsel office of a major insurance company. He specialized in the defense of first party matters at the litigation and arbitration level with the cases involving issues ranging from lack of medical necessity to provider fraud and complex coverage defense. His accomplishments were also recognized through his selection to participate in the Supervisor Leadership Program based on his performance as an attorney for staff counsel. The program is designed to equip future managers and directors with the leadership skills to perform at a high level within the company.
David is an active member of the New York State Bar Association and the New York chapter of the University of Southern California Alumni Association. He is a Dix Hills, New York native and an avid fan of USC Trojans football.
