Crystal S. Chung is an associate at the firm’s New York City office, where she focuses on special investigations and fraud. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. During her undergraduate career, she was co-founder of the UNICEF Education Committee, Outreach Committee Chair for the Asian-American Student Association and Site Coordinator/Tutor for the Prison Outreach Program.
Crystal earned her Juris Doctor from UNC-Chapel Hill School of Law. During law school, she served as the volunteer coordinator for the Carolina Public Interest Law Organization, which provides funding and resources for law students seeking career opportunities in public interest law. She also served as an Articles Editor for The North Carolina Journal of International Law and Commercial Regulation and the pro bono coordinator for the Death Penalty Project. During her second year internship, Crystal served as a third-year certified legal intern for the Mecklenburg Public Defender’s, where she represented indigent defendants in state court, primarily handling domestic violence cases.
After law school, Crystal began her career with plaintiff’s work in personal injury litigation. Before pursuing a legal career, Crystal traveled to Seoul, Korea to provide ESL tutoring and educational consulting to students at a local tutoring academy. Now in her free time, you can find Crystal taking a yoga class in the city, strolling through the West Village or hungrily looking for a dollar slice of pizza.
