Candice Kearney is an associate at the firm’s Philadelphia office who maintains a general liability practice. Candice has significant experience handling automobile and premises liability matters. She has also worked on products liability, construction defect, construction accident, and retail and restaurant liability matters. Candice achieved successful results in over a dozen Philadelphia arbitrations. In 2017, she obtained a defense verdict in her first jury trial.
Candice earned her Juris Doctor from Drexel University’s Thomas R. Kline School of Law, where she graduated fifth in her class. During law school, Candice was an associate editor of the Drexel Law Review, a judicial intern to the Honorable M. Faith Angell in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and an executive board member of the Drexel Moot Court Board, where she coordinated Drexel’s 2014 Internal Competition. In her third year, Candice was a national semifinalist in the Jerome Prince Memorial Evidence Moot Court Competition.
Throughout law school and in practice, Candice has enjoyed numerous opportunities to advise and mentor law students. In 2015, she received the Outstanding Contribution to the Drexel Law Review Community award for her guidance throughout the student notes process. Candice was selected as a Dean’s Scholar to provide supplemental instruction to first-year Civil Procedure students in 2014 and 2015. In practice, Candice has continued to mentor law students, serving as a volunteer coach to Drexel moot court teams in 2016 and 2017. She is regularly asked to serve as an oral argument judge for course work and competitions. Currently, Candice serves as a young associate mentor to Bennett, Bricklin & Saltzburg summer associates.
Originally from New Jersey, Candice earned her Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Rutgers University. During her time at Rutgers, she studied abroad in Florence, Italy, where a piece of her heart still remains. When she is not pursuing her dream of becoming a premier trial attorney, you can find Candice exploring Philadelphia’s neighborhoods and dancing her way through life.
